Today, Novem announced the appointment of Valon Dauti as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Valon will lead Novem's information security strategy, governance, and risk management as more owners, operators, and insurers use Novem to make decisions about the buildings where people live, work, and receive care. When a CFO takes a capital plan to the board or an insurance renewal to market, the evidence behind it has to be trusted. That evidence comes from building systems, equipment records, and claims history. Protecting that data is part of protecting the people and the capital it represents. Valon brings experience building and leading security operations, threat intelligence, and incident response programs, including security operations centers for government and critical infrastructure clients. He is also the founder and CEO of Vexelon Cybersecurity, a cybersecurity services firm whose specialists support Novem's security program, giving Novem a dedicated security leader backed by a broader team. He was selected as one of 14 professionals for the European Cybersecurity Fellowship and serves as a mentor in the Women4Cyber Foundation mentorship program. "Security is about protecting what matters most to an organization," said Valon Dauti, Chief Information Security Officer at Novem.
